In the 9th minute the ball was on its way in behind CF Apaches's goalkeeper Przemyslaw Lagiewniki, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. When Zbigniew Budrewicz fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored CF Apaches's protests and gave Zbigniew Budrewicz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute, Zbigniew Budrewicz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Przemyslaw Lagiewniki made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Marat Shpagin sent off a good shot on target. Przemyslaw Lagiewniki was a little too slow when Leonid Zhdanov got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 46th minute. The score was now 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The supporters of Днепр ФК booed when CF Apaches was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miroslaw Cielencki didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Marat Shpagin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Przemyslaw Lagiewniki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. CF Apaches's Przemyslaw Lagiewniki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marat Shpagin in the 70th minute of play. 71 minutes into the game, Marat Shpagin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-0. Przemyslaw Lagiewniki was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Irakliy Khokhlov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Patryk Wasikowski in the 78th minute of the match. Miroslaw Cielencki succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 4-1 in the 81st playminute. In the 83rd minute, Днепр ФК's Nikolay Finikov seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nikolay Finikov the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Днепр ФК protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nikolay Finikov had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to Днепр ФК getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Nikolay Finikov hit a great ball. 85 minutes into the match, Kryspin Puzio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Irakliy Khokhlov. Днепр ФК's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kryspin Puzio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2.
