Alvise Riccardi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesario Urtaza, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Romildo Sotomayor recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Cesario Urtaza got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Enzo Oriali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Glorioso Deportivo Cali booed when Luponero FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elia Chioda didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th match minute, Luponero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Elia Chioda to maneuver through the defense. Through an outstanding action, after 41 minutes, Alvise Riccardi successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Cesario Urtaza received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Alvise Riccardi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Glorioso Deportivo Cali players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Luponero FC were winning 0-1.

Marcelo Natal came out of the goal and Enzo Oriali tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Glorioso Deportivo Cali getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Bordat Roman hit a great ball. In the 64th minute of the match Bordat Roman shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alvise Riccardi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 67th match minute, Luponero FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Oriali to maneuver through the defense. Alvise Riccardi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesario Urtaza in the 69th minute of play. In the 72ndth minute of the game Emanuele Verna who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Marcelo Natal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 74 minutes, Cesario Urtaza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Glorioso Deportivo Cali and the Luponero FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Glorioso Deportivo Cali's Cesario Urtaza got a free kick in the 74th minute. In the 79th minute of the game, Fulvio Lelli landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field.
