Spectators: 7491 (Terracing: 5619, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Akis Stafilas started the match with the kick off. The C. A. Atlanta fans' excitement grew in the 3rd match minute when C. A. Atlanta's Arturo Flores looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 10th minute, MELATES F.C.'s Christos Papakostopoulos dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. In the 13thth minute of the game Arturo Flores who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but MELATES F.C.'s Themos Maridis was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 14th match minute, C. A. Atlanta was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eulalio Faro to maneuver through the defense. Christos Papakostopouloss short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Braulio Berasko to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, C. A. Atlanta's Arturo Flores got a free kick in the 20th minute. When C. A. Themos Maridis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Cordarrell, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Aurelio Luken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Themos Maridis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half C. A. Atlanta were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Arturo Flores to make the kick off. With his leg Themos Maridis managed to avoid a goal in the 54thth minute, when C. A. Atlanta's Arturo Flores fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Miguel Cordarrell could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Themos Maridis made a huge save. Miguel Cordarrell struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. Themos Maridis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C. A. Atlanta. The supporters of C. A. Atlanta booed when MELATES F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorotheos Delioridis didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vrasidas Plousis during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to MELATES F.C. getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Vrasidas Plousis hit a great ball. Fidel Gonsalvo kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christos Papakostopoulos in the 84th minute of play forced C. A. Atlanta's goalkeeper Braulio Berasko to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Arturo Flores managed to get in a good position for a shot. C. A. Atlanta's supporters rose to their feet, but Arturo Flores was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Themos Maridis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
