Spectators: 7477 (Terracing: 5609, Seating: 1719, VIP seats: 149) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arturo Flores kicked off to start the match. Ambrossi Colina hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Leandro Candina didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when C. A. Atlanta's Arturo Flores shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 0-1 in the ordered_time% minute. Aurelio Luken recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 7th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in C. A. Atlanta's zone, Reasco Abres stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Silvano Dominguez came out of the goal and Reasco Abres tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Club Deportivo Santiago getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Iachetti Vela hit a great ball. Club Deportivo Santiago's Leandro Candina played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurelio Luken in the 17th minute of play. Leandro Candina showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arturo Flores in the 18th minute of the match. Honorio Oliverio kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Silvano Dominguez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anibal Mortal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 23 minutes into the match, Club Deportivo Santiago's goal looked a bit too open when Ivan Oalo came free, but Leandro Candina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Silvano Dominguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Mortal, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Ambrossi Colina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Silvano Dominguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leandro Candina made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Luken in the 30th minute of play. In the 31st minute, Honorio Oliverio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arturo Flores scored 0-2 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leandro Candina, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Silvano Dominguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anibal Mortal, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After having played for 46 minutes, Arturo Flores managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. C. A. Atlanta's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arturo Flores was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Ivan Oalo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ambrossi Colina to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Arturo Flores got free with Leandro Candina in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Club Deportivo Santiago's Mauricio Irizarry got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 58 minutes into the match, C. A. Atlanta's goal looked a bit too open when Reasco Abres came free, but Silvano Dominguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that Arturo Flores's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Leandro Candina was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. In the 62nd minute, C. A. Atlanta's Arturo Flores ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Leandro Candina. Leandro Candina yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. After some careless play in the Club Deportivo Santiago defense, Valentin Cefero kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leandro Candina. The Club Deportivo Santiago fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leandro Candina should have stopped the shot. Arturo Flores's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Leandro Candina read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. Aurelio Luken received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Leandro Candina tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 77th match minute, Club Deportivo Santiago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Victoriano Guim to maneuver through the defense. Silvano Dominguez came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Club Deportivo Santiago's Anibal Mortal. But to his dismay, Anibal Mortal quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-4.
