The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, PIAUÍ FC's Abel Donatello got a free kick in the 2nd minute. In the 3rd minute, João Raposo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 6 minutes, Abílio Mesquita put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Murilo Nølev. After 9 played minutes PIAUÍ FC got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Moreno. Murilo Nølev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abílio Mesquita in the 10th minute of the match. Loures's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Hermes Amaro in the 12th minute. A very nice done corner allowed João Raposo to score against Murilo Nølev in PIAUÍ FC's goal. 0-2 after 12 minutes. After 21 minutes, Abílio Mesquita made it 0-3 with a short kick to the right side. PIAUÍ FC's Murilo Nølev tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 25th match minute, PIAUÍ FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acácio Paiva to maneuver through the defense. In the 29th minute, Joãozinho Yver hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Norberto Barbosa made a precise shot to the right of Murilo Nølev. PIAUÍ FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

Loures's Nicolas Vilalobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abel Donatello in the 52nd minute of play. PIAUÍ FC's Agnaldo Sá got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Abílio Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute, Acácio Paiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. PIAUÍ FC's Murilo Nølev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abílio Mesquita in the 66th minute of play. With his leg Murilo Nølev managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Loures's Norberto Barbosa fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 68th minute, Abílio Mesquita fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Murilo Nølev, passed just outside the right post. Norberto Barbosa might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Murilo Nølev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Norberto Barbosa ran back to his position shaking his head. 81 minutes into the match, Loures's goal looked a bit too open when Abel Donatello came free, but Nicolas Vilalobos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 84 played minutes Loures got a freekick which was hit by Sílvio Vidigal. Daniel Fiúza kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. After 89 played minutes, PIAUÍ FC's Zé Roberto Velloso shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Nicolas Vilalobos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in PIAUÍ FC reached it. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abílio Mesquita in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murilo Nølev prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some careless play in the Loures defense, Agnaldo Sá kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicolas Vilalobos. The Loures fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicolas Vilalobos should have stopped the shot. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Loures eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
