Walmyr Simões scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Sven-Arne Eklund, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Sven-Arne Eklund took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmyr Simões, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Marcelo Souza's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sven-Arne Eklund was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. After 34 minutes of play, Facopo FBPA's Augusto Alcântara made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Arne Eklund was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Facopo FBPA booed when Bennis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hans Kielberg didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Marcelo Souza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Marcelo Souza kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Sven-Arne Eklund. That made the score 0-3 in the 51 minute of play. Sven-Arne Eklund made an important save on a dangerous shot by Augusto Alcântara in the 61st minute. When Augusto Alcântara came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Facopo FBPA fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Alcântara couldn't finish the play. Augusto Alcântara blasted a shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sven-Arne Eklund having to make a save. Tiago Gabriel Damião fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Arne Eklund having to interfere. 75 minutes into the game, Augusto Alcântara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Sven-Arne Eklund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bennis's Sven-Arne Eklund proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Bennis from getting a goal against them. After 79 played minutes Bennis got a freekick which was hit by Hans Kielberg. Silvinho de Lima kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match.
