Spectators: 7628 (Terracing: 5722, Seating: 1754, VIP seats: 152) After 2 minutes, Andy Gudmundsson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Bennis and the SANTOS F.C players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Bennis's Andy Gudmundsson got a free kick in the 2nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Carlos Koehler in the 3rd minute of play forced Bennis's goalkeeper Sven-Arne Eklund to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Duarte Bittencourt charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Duarte Bittencourt the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 5 played minutes SANTOS F.C got a freekick which was hit by Duarte Bittencourt. Sven-Arne Eklund stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of José Carlos Koehler's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. When José Carlos Koehler in the 10th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Sven-Arne Eklund kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. In the 13th match minute, Bennis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alex Forsell to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 17 minutes, Duarte Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SANTOS F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Duarte Bittencourt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Carlos Koehler in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sven-Arne Eklund saved Bennis from getting behind. Benjamin Quirino fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sven-Arne Eklund having to interfere. José Carlos Koehler in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Sven-Arne Eklund, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. José Carlos Koehler had several of the Bennis's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 30 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Sven-Arne Eklund as he didn't even see the shot coming. Erik Machado hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in SANTOS F.C's zone, Torbjörn Alrot stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wilson Travassos came out of the goal and Torbjörn Alrot tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

When SANTOS F.C's José Carlos Koehler in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bennis's goalie prevented a goal. After a rather tough play, Bennis's Albin Lenberg got a free kick in the 64th minute. Danilo Nóbrega was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 65th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Bennis's Sven-Arne Eklund played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Carlos Koehler in the 69th minute of play. Sven-Arne Eklund came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by SANTOS F.C's Duarte Bittencourt. But to his dismay, Duarte Bittencourt quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Sven-Arne Eklund came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by SANTOS F.C's José Carlos Koehler. But to his dismay, José Carlos Koehler quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. When José Carlos Koehler came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the SANTOS F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that José Carlos Koehler couldn't finish the play. Erik Machado made in the 88th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Benjamin Quirino immediately put the ball in play. After 93 minutes of play, SANTOS F.C's Benjamin Quirino made it 6-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sven-Arne Eklund was left in no man's land by his defense there! SANTOS F.C's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
