The referee showed Rubio Villapadierna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Rubio Villapadierna got a free kick in the 4th minute. The audience was convinced that Ipar Monzonis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ali Reşit was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. The supporters of Club Dep. Soc. Rodo booed when Gençlerbirliği was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gürbüz Kurceren didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rodo's goalkeeper Donatello Barajo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mehmet Halis Gökyüzü. In the 27th minute, Vidal Ximeno ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ali Reşit was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cumhur Konguralp in the 41st minute of play forced Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's goalkeeper Donatello Barajo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 43rdth minute of the game Ipar Monzonis who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gençlerbirliği's Ali Reşit was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Recep Talha Ilgın made a kick off. Ali Reşit took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ipar Monzonis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Club Dep. Soc. Rodo getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Gençlerbirliği's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ipar Monzonis was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. In the 65th match minute, Gençlerbirliği was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Uygur Gülsoy to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute Ipar Monzonis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ali Reşit saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Ipar Monzonis could shoot a difficult shot in the 71st minute, which Ali Reşit however easily saved by the left post. With his leg Ali Reşit managed to avoid a goal in the 74thth minute, when Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Rubio Villapadierna fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 79th minute, Gençlerbirliği's Tuncay Falcıoğlu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Tuncay Falcıoğlu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Gençlerbirliği protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Tuncay Falcıoğlu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. Tuncay Falcıoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Ali Reşit made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olando Marty in the 84th minute of play. Ali Reşit was left in no man's land by his defense there! Ali Reşit made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Rubio Villapadierna sent off a good shot on target. After 96 minutes, Mehmet Halis Gökyüzü mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gençlerbirliği and the Club Dep. Soc. Rodo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mehmet Halis Gökyüzü hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo's Olando Marty couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 97th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Gençlerbirliği. Club Dep. Soc. Rodo played a much better game than Gençlerbirliği and deserved their victory. The Gençlerbirliği players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
