In the 15th minute Percy Palmeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Radomir Bienienda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Lucjan Kasperowicz hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Wilson Travassos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur Topolski in the 20th minute of play. When Lucjan Kasperowicz came up free with the goalie in the 22nd minute, the Joga Bonito fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lucjan Kasperowicz couldn't finish the play. Wilson Travassos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucjan Kasperowicz in the 25th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lucjan Kasperowicz in the 28th minute of play forced SANTOS F.C's goalkeeper Wilson Travassos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 played minutes SANTOS F.C got a freekick which was hit by Cauan Leão. After a rather tough play, Joga Bonito's Lucjan Kasperowicz got a free kick in the 34th minute. With a little luck, Joga Bonito's Radomir Bienienda got control of the ball when José Carlos Koehler tried to sneak it across the goal line. Duarte Bittencourt who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 48thth minute tested the skills of Radomir Bienienda when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when José Carlos Koehler stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, Joga Bonito's goal looked a bit too open when Duarte Bittencourt came free, but Radomir Bienienda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience was convinced that José Carlos Koehler's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Radomir Bienienda was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. 78 minutes into the match, SANTOS F.C's goalkeeper Wilson Travassos had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucjan Kasperowicz. A collision led to SANTOS F.C getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Erik Machado hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Joga Bonito's zone, José Carlos Koehler stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Radomir Bienienda came out of the goal and José Carlos Koehler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benjamin Quirino in the 90th minute of play forced Joga Bonito's goalkeeper Radomir Bienienda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, SANTOS F.C's Danilo Nóbrega got a free kick in the 93rd minute. A collision led to Joga Bonito getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Artur Topolski hit a great ball. Despite being the better team, SANTOS F.C failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
