Pedrinho Sergipano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Štefka, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ronaldinho Camargo made in the 42nd minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Czechia Hradec Králové's Darek Mynařík. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.
