Spectators: 7519 (Terracing: 5640, Seating: 1729, VIP seats: 150) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edmond Walder started the match with the kick off. When Julio Ireno fell near the penalty area in the 2nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gloria Verdinegra AFC's protests and gave Julio Ireno a yellow card for diving instead. Julio Ireno hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. When Albertus Reijdams came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the SK Gullegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albertus Reijdams couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Gloria Verdinegra AFC's Leonides Rayman got a free kick in the 6th minute. An unexpected shot in the 7th minute by Albertus Reijdams got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Leonides Rayman hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Ladislao Faro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmond Walder, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to SK Gullegem getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Wart Hollants hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmond Walder in the 14th minute of play forced Gloria Verdinegra AFC's goalkeeper Ladislao Faro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edmond Walder recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 16th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 18 minutes, Leonides Rayman mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gloria Verdinegra AFC and the SK Gullegem players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Gloria Verdinegra AFC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Leonides Rayman hit a great ball. Albertus Reijdams sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jos Van Boeckost scored 1-0 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ladislao Faro, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the match, Gloria Verdinegra AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Edmond Walder came free, but Ladislao Faro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. During the 29th minute of the match Leonides Rayman completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Leonides Rayman a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. A collision led to Gloria Verdinegra AFC getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Leonides Rayman hit a great ball. Edmond Walder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ladislao Faro having to interfere. Abelardo Michael sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Albertus Reijdams sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 41 minutes into the match, Gloria Verdinegra AFC's goalkeeper Ladislao Faro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Albertus Reijdams. Edmond Walder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ladislao Faro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gregorio Bertol to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 50th minute, Edmond Walder managed to get in a good position for a shot. SK Gullegem's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmond Walder was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ladislao Faro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 2-0 became the score in the 54th minute when Albertus Reijdams elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After 61 minutes of play, SK Gullegem's Albertus Reijdams made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ladislao Faro was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Jos Van Boeckost in the 64th minute of play forced Gloria Verdinegra AFC's goalkeeper Ladislao Faro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 65 minutes, Edmond Walder managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SK Gullegem's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmond Walder was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frank Costermans hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Ladislao Faro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Albertus Reijdams in the 76th minute of play. When Edmond Walder came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the SK Gullegem fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmond Walder couldn't finish the play. In the 88th minute, Mariano Ezkerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ladislao Faro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albertus Reijdams, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Ladislao Faro came out of the goal in the 93rd minute to try and stop a shot by SK Gullegem's Albertus Reijdams. But to his dismay, Albertus Reijdams quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. Gloria Verdinegra AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
