In the 3rd minute, Ralf De Keuster hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With an all-out effort, Kolopetinitsa's Mathias-Alexander Terhorst threw himself towards the right post 7 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Dionysis Salaggoudis, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Kolopetinitsa's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Iakovos Ksiros in the 9th minute. Kolopetinitsa's Iakovos Ksiros was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Mathias-Alexander Terhorst in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 10 minutes into the match, William Eekhout notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Kolopetinitsa's Lazaros Manolopoulos. Lazaros Manolopoulos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Lazaros Manolopoulos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from William Eekhout in the 15th minute of the match. Kolopetinitsa's Lazaros Manolopoulos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gustav Van den Bergh in the 16th minute of play. KFC Vliegplein's Mathias-Alexander Terhorst played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iakovos Ksiros in the 18th minute of play. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Kolopetinitsa's goalkeeper Lazaros Manolopoulos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ralf De Keuster was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 30 minutes into the match. Mathias-Alexander Terhorst showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Iakovos Ksiros in the 32nd minute of the match. In the 33rd minute William Eekhout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lazaros Manolopoulos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 35 minutes, Davy Van Emelen mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the KFC Vliegplein and the Kolopetinitsa players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to KFC Vliegplein getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Davy Van Emelen hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Davy Van Emelen in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lazaros Manolopoulos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Christodoulos Kolevas hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Lazaros Manolopoulos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from William Eekhout in the 41st minute of play. After 43 minutes Kolopetinitsa's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Tomm Verbraecken who took care of the corner kick. The corner led KFC Vliegplein's Tomm Verbraecken to fire away a dangerous shot which Lazaros Manolopoulos despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After having played for 45 minutes, Davy Van Emelen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. KFC Vliegplein's supporters crossed their fingers, but Davy Van Emelen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If William Eekhout had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dionysis Salaggoudis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Kolopetinitsa's Sokratis Kagiasis got a free kick in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, Davy Van Emelen managed to get in a good position for a shot. KFC Vliegplein's supporters rose to their feet, but Davy Van Emelen was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lazaros Manolopoulos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. William Eekhout fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lazaros Manolopoulos having to interfere. William Eekhout recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dionysis Salaggoudis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias-Alexander Terhorst having to interfere. When Rudi Langhmans fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored KFC Vliegplein's protests and gave Rudi Langhmans a yellow card for diving instead. In the 75th match minute, KFC Vliegplein was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rudi Langhmans to maneuver through the defense. Pieter Teunens charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pieter Teunens the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 77 played minutes, Kolopetinitsa's Iakovos Ksiros shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mathias-Alexander Terhorst came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Kolopetinitsa reached it. With a little luck, Kolopetinitsa's Lazaros Manolopoulos got control of the ball when William Eekhout tried to sneak it across the goal line. William Eekhout could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 88th minute of the match, but Lazaros Manolopoulos made a huge save. Kolopetinitsa's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
