But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bengt Sandell couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, The Reds's Egil Kilstedt got a free kick in the 27th minute. When Bengt Sandell in the 30th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Lazaros Manolopoulos kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-1 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. After a rather tough play, Kolopetinitsa's Lambros Karpodinis got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Joar Kuse didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sokratis Kagiasis went, in the 34th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dionysis Salaggoudis in the 43rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joar Kuse prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Kolopetinitsa were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dionysis Salaggoudis to make the kick off. Stig Broberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lennart Ahlin charged in rather forcefully in the 72nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The Reds's Bengt Sandell was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Lazaros Manolopoulos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. When Simos Mellios came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Kolopetinitsa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simos Mellios couldn't finish the play. Stig Broberg charged in rather forcefully in the 91st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down.
