Spectators: 7493 (Terracing: 5621, Seating: 1723, VIP seats: 149) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Juan Malvin took the kick off in the first half of the match. Robustiano Eyague showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aristides Avellaneda in the 4th minute of the match. After 6 played minutes Celtic FC got a freekick which was hit by Juan Malvin. Robustiano Eyague took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abelardo Ledesma, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Robustiano Eyague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Avellaneda in the 14th minute of play. Celtic FC's Robustiano Eyague played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aristides Avellaneda in the 16th minute of play. Kaplan's defense didn't have a chance, in the 22nd minute, when Apolo Bazil scored to the left of an out of position René Higuita, making the score, 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Saul Beila managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celtic FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Saul Beila was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. René Higuita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abelardo Ledesma in the 33rd minute of play forced Celtic FC's goalkeeper Robustiano Eyague to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Kaplan fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. When Luisito Olo came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Celtic FC fans jumped to their feet. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The wind increased when Abelardo Ledesma made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Kaplan's Abelardo Ledesma nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Robustiano Eyague made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Abelardo Ledesma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Robustiano Eyague read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Robustiano Eyague took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucio Soin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Celtic FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Marcelino Lopes hit a great ball. In the 62nd minute Juan Malvin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but René Higuita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Robustiano Eyague made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aristides Avellaneda in the 65th minute of play.
