With an all-out effort, AL TOKE FC's Robbrecht Van Eijken threw himself towards the right post 12 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Higinio Txordon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Leo Lissens received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Augusto Handi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Leo Lissens left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The North Hill United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After having played for 23 minutes, Joel Rouvoet managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. North Hill United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joel Rouvoet was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to North Hill United getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Joel Rouvoet hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Higinio Txordon reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Robbrecht Van Eijken. The goal made the score 1-1. A throw-in in the 29th minute of the game was made by Higinio Txordon with Rene Bazil as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. AL TOKE FC's Augusto Handi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Rouvoet in the 34th minute of play. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leo Lissens to make the kick off. Joel Rouvoet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Handi having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in AL TOKE FC's zone, Joel Rouvoet stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Augusto Handi came out of the goal and Joel Rouvoet tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Handi made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Joel Rouvoet sent off a good shot on target. After 83 minutes, Joel Rouvoet made it 1-2 with a short kick to the right side. AL TOKE FC's Augusto Handi tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Frederick Van Hoegaerden kicked well hit freekick during the 85th minute of the match. The North Hill United supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing North Hill United would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
