Joel Rouvoet blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without 汪卫庭 having to make a save. Nic Van Turnhout kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. The supporters of 上海绿地申花足球俱乐部 booed when North Hill United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bill Baert didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joel Rouvoet fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without 汪卫庭 having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Bas Huybreghts was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bas Huybreghts in the 52nd minute of play forced 上海绿地申花足球俱乐部's goalkeeper 汪卫庭 to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Bas Huybreghts in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal.
