The supporters of F.Salgado F.C. booed when Corinthians was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Didi Rocha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 28th minute Raimundo Terra shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 32 played minutes Corinthians got a freekick which was hit by Simão Travassos. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wágner Sousa in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Víktor Sarmento made a kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Corinthians's zone, Wágner Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cássio Soeiro came out of the goal and Wágner Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Víktor Sarmento received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Júnior Massa came out and tried to block the shot, but Víktor Sarmento slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 54th minute. Júnior Massa made an important save on a dangerous shot by Simão Travassos in the 59th minute. Cássio Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dagoberto Souza in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to F.Salgado F.C. getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Sandro Nascimento hit a great ball. A hard shot by Simão Travassos from long distance, 64 minutes into the match, got Júnior Massa's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Cássio Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dagoberto Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute.
