In the 6th minute, Napoleon Kaczanka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gwidon Iwanowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maciek Hana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 11 minutes into the match, Westbam's goal looked a bit too open when Maciek Hana came free, but Gwidon Iwanowski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Westbam's Gwidon Iwanowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Slawomir Karp in the 12th minute of play. In the 16th minute, Cezary Majkowski left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Śląsk Bytom fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 19 minutes, Napoleon Kaczanka mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Westbam and the Śląsk Bytom players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Śląsk Bytom booed when Westbam was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Napoleon Kaczanka didn't get a good kick on the ball. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.
The wind increased when Maciek Hana made the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Westbam's Gwidon Iwanowski got control of the ball when Maciek Hana tried to sneak it across the goal line. Zbyszko Napierkowski's late challenge caught a Westbam's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 66 minutes into the game, Maciek Hana lined in a short shot 0-7 behind a frustrated Gwidon Iwanowski. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cezary Majkowski in the 73rd minute of play forced Westbam's goalkeeper Gwidon Iwanowski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gwidon Iwanowski made a fantastic save in the 74th minute, when Maciek Hana sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Maciek Hana got free with Gwidon Iwanowski in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
