The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Matteo Raigadas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 2nd minute. FC LauB's Karl-Johan Wiberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Selatse Inguanzo in the 6th minute of play. Karl-Johan Wiberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Selatse Inguanzo's shot from short distance in the 7th minute. Selatse Inguanzo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Karl-Johan Wiberg tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Confesor Hebia hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. After having played for 16 minutes, Kurt Grönberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC LauB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kurt Grönberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mantzio Porlier showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kurt Grönberg in the 19th minute of the match. 22 minutes into the match, Claretiano FC's Selatse Inguanzo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl-Johan Wiberg narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to FC LauB getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Kurt Grönberg hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Constantino Talaga managed to get in a good position for a shot. Claretiano FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Constantino Talaga was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl-Johan Wiberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Selatse Inguanzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carl Thedin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute Kurt Grönberg shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mantzio Porlier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Selatse Inguanzo to make the kick off. In the 50th minute, Matteo Raigadas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 52nd minute, FC LauB's Carl Thedin dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. With a little luck, Claretiano FC's Mantzio Porlier got control of the ball when Carl Thedin tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Olov Spets came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the FC LauB fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Olov Spets couldn't finish the play. 61 minutes into the game, Carl Thedin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Mantzio Porlier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After having played for 64 minutes, Olov Spets managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC LauB's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olov Spets was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The corner led Claretiano FC's Vincent Ibaute to fire away a dangerous shot which Karl-Johan Wiberg despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The supporters of FC LauB booed when Claretiano FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Confesor Hebia didn't get a good kick on the ball. 93 minutes into the game, Vincent Ibaute was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Claretiano FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC LauB the free kick. In the 93rd match minute, Claretiano FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vincent Ibaute to maneuver through the defense. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. FC LauB had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
