After a rather tough play, Sagene IF's Fredrik Henden got a free kick in the 36th minute. A collision led to Sagene IF getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Noah Berdal hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Niklas Stål managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC LauB's supporters rose to their feet, but Niklas Stål was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kjetil-André Garberg breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olov Spets was the one to do the kick off. FC LauB's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
