Sidney Paranaense's late challenge caught a Gotham City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sidney Paranaense helped the player get up and apologised. In the 3rd minute, Sidney Paranaense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Cercadinho booed when Gotham City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Karl Nyström didn't get a good kick on the ball. Betinho Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Thor Haström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 14 played minutes Gotham City got a freekick which was hit by Claes Albäck. 16 minutes into the match, Gotham City's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Paranaense came free, but Thor Haström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sidney Paranaense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Zé Tello managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cercadinho's supporters rose to their feet, but Zé Tello was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Thor Haström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thor Haström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sidney Paranaense, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Felippe Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thor Haström having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Gerson Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ingvar Wiklund kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Gotham City's Thor Haström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felippe Amaral in the 33rd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Gotham City's goal looked a bit too open when Betinho Lara came free, but Thor Haström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 38 minutes into the game, Betinho Lara cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Thor Haström was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience thought a goal was coming when André Smed got free with Eurico de Lara in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Thor Haström didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sidney Paranaense went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ingvar Wiklund to strike the kick off in the second half. 59 minutes into the game, Cercadinho's Nildo Toledo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Thor Haström made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Cercadinho made a substitution. Walmyr Zanette replaced Nildo Toledo. Gotham City's Ingvar Wiklund got his second yellow card of the match in the 64th minute. The referee ordered Ingvar Wiklund off the ground. The supporters of Cercadinho booed when Gotham City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingvar Wiklund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Cercadinho's Walmyr Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Henric Jakobsson charged in rather forcefully in the 69th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Henric Jakobsson the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Thor Haström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Felippe Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Gotham City's Thor Haström proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 77th minute of the match, managed to save Gotham City from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Gotham City's zone, Felippe Amaral stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Thor Haström came out of the goal and Felippe Amaral tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cercadinho's Fellipe Barbosa was substituted for Betinho Lara. Claes Albäck hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Felippe Amaral took the ball and in the 83 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Thor Haström. Thor Haström dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 87 minutes into the match, Felippe Amaral dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thor Haström, 0-5. 89 minutes into the game, André Smed was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gotham City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cercadinho the free kick. After 90 played minutes Gotham City got a freekick which was hit by André Smed. Leopoldo Sergipano came free with the goalkeeper in the 95th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Thor Haström could save by the left post. When the final whistle sounded Cercadinho left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Gotham City.
