Zandarin FC's Fabinho Borges quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Gerson Porto, made in the 3rd minute of the game. In the 4th minute, Ernani Brito ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Eurico de Lara was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 19th minute, Felippe Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jânio Ramos was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Cercadinho booed when Zandarin FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernani Brito didn't get a good kick on the ball. 44 minutes into the game, Serafim Loyola cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Eurico de Lara was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Serafim Loyola was the one to do the kick off. Zé Ramos hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. After having played for 53 minutes, Eugênio Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cercadinho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eugênio Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Zandarin FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Serafim Loyola hit a great ball. Cercadinho made a substitution. Walmyr Zanette replaced Nildo Toledo. The throw-in from Gerson Porto in the 60th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Zandarin FC's Fabinho Borges. After 62 played minutes Cercadinho got a freekick which was hit by Eugênio Rodrigues. 66 minutes into the match, Cercadinho's goalkeeper Eurico de Lara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alexandre Meireles. Serafim Loyola received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Eurico de Lara came out and tried to block the shot, but Serafim Loyola slotted it home off the left post making it 2-3 in the 68th minute. Jânio Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felippe Amaral in the 78th minute of play. In the 83rd minute, Felippe Amaral ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jânio Ramos was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-3. In the 90th minute Leopoldo Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jânio Ramos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Zandarin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gerson Porto came free, but Jânio Ramos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fabinho Borges hit a great freekick 96 minutes into the match. Felippe Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jânio Ramos having to interfere.
