The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Claes Albäck during the 2nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 2nd match minute, Gotham City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claes Albäck to maneuver through the defense. Gotham City's Thor Haström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gavril Gevechanov in the 5th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in VN Keleler's zone, André Smed stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Miro Vladikov came out of the goal and André Smed tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Gotham City booed when VN Keleler was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yulian Yuliev didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 15th minute, Ingvar Wiklund left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Gotham City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Thor Haström came out of the goal in the 18th minute to try and stop a shot by VN Keleler's Gavril Gevechanov. But to his dismay, Gavril Gevechanov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After 22 minutes, Gustav Apelquist mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gotham City and the VN Keleler players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gustav Apelquist kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Gavril Gevechanov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Thor Haström, 2-1. With an all-out effort, VN Keleler's Thor Haström threw himself towards the right post 28 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Serafim Búrzakov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience thought a goal was coming when Serafim Búrzakov got free with Thor Haström in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 31 minutes of play Gotham City's Gustav Apelquist was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 34 minutes into the match, Gotham City's goal looked a bit too open when Dilyan Maynolovski came free, but Thor Haström reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thor Haström made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Serafim Búrzakov sent off a good shot on target. In the 39th minute Gavril Gevechanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thor Haström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, Gotham City's Thor Haström got control of the ball when Svetlin Pazvantov tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thor Haström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Serafim Búrzakov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 43 minutes into the match, Svetlin Pazvantov notched a goal, 3-1, to the right of Gotham City's Thor Haström. Thor Haström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Svetlin Pazvantovs short, quick shot in the 46thth minute got Thor Haström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-1 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ingvar Wiklund made a kick off. In the 53rd minute Svetlin Pazvantov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thor Haström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 54 minutes, Serafim Búrzakov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VN Keleler's supporters crossed their fingers, but Serafim Búrzakov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 56 minutes into the game, Yulian Yuliev was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. VN Keleler's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gotham City the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of VN Keleler:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gotham City:s goal. In the 60th minute Dilyan Maynolovski shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thor Haström saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thor Haström showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gavril Gevechanov in the 63rd minute of the match. Gotham City's Thor Haström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dilyan Maynolovski in the 65th minute of play. In the 70th minute, Serafim Búrzakov made a precise shot to the right of Thor Haström. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Svetlin Pazvantov in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Thor Haström prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The VN Keleler fans' excitement grew in the 74th match minute when VN Keleler's Svetlin Pazvantov looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 5-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Thor Haström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dilyan Maynolovski in the 80th minute of play. Thor Haström took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dilyan Maynolovski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Gotham City fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Thor Haström should have stopped the shot. VN Keleler's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
