Cesare Simone charged in rather forcefully in the 2nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cesare Simone the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Cesare Simone hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Ercole Briganti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermanno Clemente, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. 3 minutes into the game, ASD Real Molinella 1911's Ermanno Clemente nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ercole Briganti made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Ercole Briganti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Flavio Chizzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. If Ermanno Clemente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute Enrico Cirone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alfredo Bergomi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Demetrio Giorgi got free with Alfredo Bergomi in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Ermanno Clemente's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Ercole Briganti was relentless in the 16th minute of the game. The ASD Real Molinella 1911 fans' excitement grew in the 18th match minute when ASD Real Molinella 1911's Ermanno Clemente looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. After 22 minutes, Bernardo Spano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fiume Veneto and the ASD Real Molinella 1911 players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Fiume Veneto's Bernardo Spano got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Ercole Briganti came out of the goal in the 26th minute to try and stop a shot by ASD Real Molinella 1911's Ermanno Clemente. But to his dismay, Ermanno Clemente quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Fiume Veneto's Ercole Briganti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ermanno Clemente in the 29th minute of play. Ercole Briganti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ermanno Tagliente, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ermanno Clemente in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ercole Briganti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute, Cesare Marinelli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Fiume Veneto defense, Ermanno Clemente kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ercole Briganti. The Fiume Veneto fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ercole Briganti should have stopped the shot. Ermanno Tagliente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

In the 52nd match minute, Fiume Veneto was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cesare Marinelli to maneuver through the defense. Ermanno Clemente in the 55thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Ercole Briganti, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Flavio Chizzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute of the match Anfilogino Cassone shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Alfredo Bergomi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ercole Briganti took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anfilogino Gagliano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of ASD Real Molinella 1911 booed when Fiume Veneto was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudio Papetti didn't get a good kick on the ball. Demetrio Giorgi kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermanno Tagliente in the 78th minute of play forced Fiume Veneto's goalkeeper Ercole Briganti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ercole Briganti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ermanno Clemente, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Ermanno Clemente had several of the Fiume Veneto's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 85 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-6 score and a disappointed Ercole Briganti as he didn't even see the shot coming. 88 minutes into the match, Fiume Veneto's goalkeeper Ercole Briganti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ermanno Clemente. ASD Real Molinella 1911's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
