Jonathan de Azevedo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Göran Haraldsson might have been able to make a better finish in the 6th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luís Corrêa. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Göran Haraldsson ran back to his position shaking his head. Murillo Ferreira hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. The supporters of Guararapes booed when NitalarbralatiN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göran Haraldsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Luís Corrêa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Göran Haraldsson, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. Dennis Lund hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Dennis Lund kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. In the 22nd minute, Jonathan de Azevedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Reynaldo Fernandez had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ralf Henriksson. NitalarbralatiN's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Reynaldo Fernandez was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. When Malte Ahlquist fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored NitalarbralatiN's protests and gave Malte Ahlquist a yellow card for diving instead. Malte Ahlquist kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After 28 minutes of play, Guararapes's Nilton Secco made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Ralf Henriksson was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 33rd minute, Tiago Gabriel Fernandez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Murillo Ferreira fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guararapes's protests and gave Murillo Ferreira a yellow card for diving instead. After 42 played minutes Guararapes got a freekick which was hit by Murillo Ferreira. NitalarbralatiN's Ralf Henriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Fernandez in the 44th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Reynaldo Fernandez made a kick off. After some careless play in the NitalarbralatiN defense, Nilton Secco kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ralf Henriksson. The NitalarbralatiN fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ralf Henriksson should have stopped the shot. NitalarbralatiN's Ralf Henriksson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reynaldo Fernandez in the 55th minute of play. Luís Corrêa stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Göran Haraldsson's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. After 67 played minutes NitalarbralatiN got a freekick which was hit by Rutger Täman. Guararapes's Cléber Saraiva was substituted for Conrado Leite. A collision led to NitalarbralatiN getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Rutger Täman hit a great ball. 70 minutes into the match, NitalarbralatiN's goalkeeper Ralf Henriksson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cléber Saraiva. In the 76th minute, Dennis Lund hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ralf Henriksson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Murillo Ferreira in the 80th minute of play. NitalarbralatiN's Ralf Henriksson proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 86th minute of the match, managed to save NitalarbralatiN from getting a goal against them. Jonathan de Azevedo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Jonathan de Azevedo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Guararapes's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonathan de Azevedo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ralf Henriksson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Guararapes played a much better game than NitalarbralatiN and deserved their victory. The NitalarbralatiN players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
