The supporters of Papunhas EC booed when NitalarbralatiN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. John Svartengren didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Papunhas EC defense, Dag Bengtsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Régis Madureira. The Papunhas EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Régis Madureira should have stopped the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Timmy Lundgren in the 13th minute of play forced Papunhas EC's goalkeeper Régis Madureira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Göran Hägglund made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Frédson Rosa sent off a good shot on target. Papunhas EC's Régis Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göran Haraldsson in the 18th minute of play. When David Furtado fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Papunhas EC's protests and gave David Furtado a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of NitalarbralatiN booed when Papunhas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. David Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Timmy Lundgren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Régis Madureira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Göran Haraldsson in the 33rd minute of the match. The supporters of Papunhas EC booed when NitalarbralatiN was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bengt-Åke Walmarsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. After the first half NitalarbralatiN were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Frédson Rosa to strike the kick off in the second half. Göran Hägglund made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frédson Rosa in the 53rd minute of play. The supporters of NitalarbralatiN booed when Papunhas EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nestor Rodrigues didn't get a good kick on the ball. 61 minutes into the game, Frédson Rosa cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Göran Hägglund was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Timmy Lundgren received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Régis Madureira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dag Bengtsson kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. When David Furtado came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Papunhas EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Furtado couldn't finish the play. 72 minutes into the game, Timmy Lundgren recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Régis Madureira. Timmy Lundgren showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-2. Egídio Ferraz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Göran Hägglund having to interfere. After 91 played minutes Papunhas EC got a freekick which was hit by Egídio Ferraz. Papunhas EC's Régis Madureira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Timmy Lundgren in the 95th minute of play. NitalarbralatiN played a much better game than Papunhas EC and deserved their victory. The Papunhas EC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
