After 3 played minutes Fire Devils got a freekick which was hit by Billy Waller. Vladimir Schnyder made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hacı Ceceli in the 9th minute. Daniel Winkel hit a great ball. In the 17th minute, Hacı Ceceli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Atilla Tarkan Enfal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Billy Waller, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Winkel in the 20th minute of play forced Samsunspor's goalkeeper Atilla Tarkan Enfal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Samsunspor booed when Fire Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Henrik Basciano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ahmet Hayri Ülkem recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vladimir Schnyder came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Samsunspor's Hacı Ceceli. But to his dismay, Hacı Ceceli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Fire Devils's Vladimir Schnyder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Hayri Ülkem in the 38th minute of play. The audience was convinced that Daniel Winkel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atilla Tarkan Enfal was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Hacı Ceceli who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 45thth minute tested the skills of Vladimir Schnyder when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Pawel Bouchard took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 47th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Atilla Tarkan Enfal. Samsunspor's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Daniel Winkel to make the kick off. Vladimir Schnyder came out of the goal in the 52nd minute to try and stop a shot by Samsunspor's Hacı Ceceli. But to his dismay, Hacı Ceceli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Janosch Bluom fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Atilla Tarkan Enfal having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Daniel Winkel's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atilla Tarkan Enfal was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. In the 61st match minute, Samsunspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Hayri Ülkem to maneuver through the defense. Atilla Tarkan Enfal made a fantastic save in the 66th minute, when Daniel Winkel sent off a good shot on target. The audience was convinced that Hacı Ceceli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vladimir Schnyder was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. In the 73rd minute Daniel Winkel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilla Tarkan Enfal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Billy Waller was shown his second yellow card after 82 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The supporters of Samsunspor booed when Fire Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Billy Waller didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vladimir Schnyder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hacı Ceceli, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. After having played for 92 minutes, Ahmet Hayri Ülkem managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samsunspor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ahmet Hayri Ülkem was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Samsunspor fully deserved thier win.
