Spectators: 7456 (Terracing: 5593, Seating: 1714, VIP seats: 149) Rafaela FC's Anibal Bonifaco started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Tiburones Rojos's Ramon Gora got a free kick in the 4th minute. An unexpected shot in the 5th minute by Leonides Vito got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Rafaela FC's German Ourente played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcelo Elia in the 8th minute of play. In the 12th minute, Rafaela FC's Eusebio Criston dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. When Joel Libertad, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 19 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The German Ourente was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. 22 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Libertad came free, but German Ourente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 23 minutes into the match, Ramon Gora had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of German Ourente. Rafaela FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ramon Gora was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Eusebio Criston hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. If Joel Libertad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Joel Libertad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tiburones Rojos's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Libertad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. German Ourente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. German Ourente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Libertad in the 41st minute of play.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Joel Libertad to strike the kick off in the second half. Anibal Bonifaco hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. In the 56th minute, Tiburones Rojos's Ramon Gora dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. Iker Darien took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leonides Vito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Tiburones Rojos getting a freekick after 73 minutes play. Maximino Vellito hit a great ball. Iker Darien made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anibal Bonifaco in the 75th minute of play. 80 minutes into the match, Rafaela FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ramon Gora came free, but German Ourente reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 81 played minutes Rafaela FC got a freekick which was hit by Leonides Vito. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Joel Libertad managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tiburones Rojos's supporters rose to their feet, but Joel Libertad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. German Ourente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicasio Oliviero during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tiburones Rojos booed when Rafaela FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicasio Oliviero didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiburones Rojos's Clemente Hondo got a good chance for a goal in the 86th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Rafaela FC's German Ourente got control of the ball when Joel Libertad tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Ramon Gora managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tiburones Rojos's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramon Gora was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. German Ourente breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Rafaela FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Tiburones Rojos were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
