The audience was convinced that Leonhard Heins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vladimir Schnyder was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. After having played for 12 minutes, Matthias Donhof managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The Potters's supporters crossed their fingers, but Matthias Donhof was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When The Potters's Leonhard Heins in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Melkior Fausbæk was a little too slow when Thaddäus Striner got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 28th minute. The score was now 1-0. Fritz Bachelard struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Melkior Fausbæk didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fire Devils. When Fritz Bachelard came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Fire Devils fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fritz Bachelard couldn't finish the play. Melkior Fausbæk made a fantastic save in the 37th minute, when Thaddäus Striner sent off a good shot on target. In the 41st match minute, The Potters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frede Wilmann to maneuver through the defense. The supporters of Fire Devils booed when The Potters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frede Wilmann didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Thaddäus Striner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Melkior Fausbæk made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Feodor Cadotsch sent off a good shot on target. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Thaddäus Striner to make the kick off. After some careless play in the The Potters defense, Fritz Bachelard kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Melkior Fausbæk. The The Potters fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Melkior Fausbæk should have stopped the shot. The Potters's Melkior Fausbæk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thaddäus Striner in the 56th minute of play. When Fire Devils's Thaddäus Striner in the 58th minute got a chance for a shot 58th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The audience was convinced that Thaddäus Striner's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Melkior Fausbæk was relentless in the 69th minute of the game. In the 73rd minute Feodor Cadotsch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melkior Fausbæk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melkior Fausbæk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Thaddäus Striner in the 74th minute of the match. Fire Devils's Vladimir Schnyder played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leonhard Heins in the 79th minute of play. During the 86th minute of the match Matthias Donhof completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Matthias Donhof a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 87 played minutes The Potters got a freekick which was hit by Matthias Donhof. After a rather tough play, The Potters's Matthias Donhof got a free kick in the 89th minute. There was no doubt that Fire Devils were the better team. Fire Devils's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
