Spectators: 7646 (Terracing: 5736, Seating: 1758, VIP seats: 152) WAU team's Flávio Dante started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Luís Eduardo Pontes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giovani Sergipano in the 9th minute of the match. Cássio Paes took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Eduardo Pontes. Luís Eduardo Pontes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mané Carioca in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmílson Britto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When WAU team's Flávio Dante in the 15th minute got a chance for a shot 15th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Trindade Atlético Club's goalie prevented a goal. If Mané Carioca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 24 played minutes Trindade Atlético Club got a freekick which was hit by Fabiano Lopez. Luís Eduardo Pontes made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Yan Pereira sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Trindade Atlético Club's Angelo Netto got a free kick in the 30th minute. 35 minutes into the match, Flávio Dante notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Trindade Atlético Club's Edmílson Britto. Edmílson Britto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gilson Munhoz hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. 42 minutes into the match, WAU team's goalkeeper Luís Eduardo Pontes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yan Pereira. Edmílson Britto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Flávio Dante in the 44th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Cássio Paes made the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute Emílio da Silva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Eduardo Pontes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilson Munhoz kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Alex Santos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Eduardo Pontes having to interfere. A collision led to WAU team getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Júnior Vidal hit a great ball. Edmílson Britto came out of the goal in the 65th minute to try and stop a shot by WAU team's Flávio Dante. But to his dismay, Flávio Dante quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Luís Eduardo Pontes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yan Pereira, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. After a rather tough play, Trindade Atlético Club's Fabiano Lopez got a free kick in the 76th minute. 79 minutes into the match, WAU team's goal looked a bit too open when Yan Pereira came free, but Luís Eduardo Pontes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Trindade Atlético Club's Edmílson Britto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 82nd minute of the match, managed to save Trindade Atlético Club from getting a goal against them. With a little luck, Trindade Atlético Club's Edmílson Britto got control of the ball when Flávio Dante tried to sneak it across the goal line. After some careless play in the WAU team defense, Giovani Sergipano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Luís Eduardo Pontes. The WAU team fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Luís Eduardo Pontes should have stopped the shot. Despite being the better team, Trindade Atlético Club failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
