The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gert Linquist didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Isaias Maura went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Håkan Kellman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eric Friberger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kenny Tholsson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Benedicto Lon having to interfere. 41 minutes into the game, Italia's Isaias Maura nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Gert Linquist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 44 minutes into the match, Tough and Tasty FC's goal looked a bit too open when Braulio Nalo came free, but Gert Linquist reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Braulio Nalo was the one to do the kick off. Tough and Tasty FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Braulio Nalo 51 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-3. Gert Linquist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Braulio Nalo in the 54th minute of the match. After 57 minutes, Eric Friberger mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tough and Tasty FC and the Italia players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Tough and Tasty FC's Eric Friberger got a free kick in the 57th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcus Lundin in the 79th minute of play forced Italia's goalkeeper Benedicto Lon to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 81st minute Håkan Kellman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedicto Lon saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Italia booed when Tough and Tasty FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. The Italia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Italia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
