Flavio Martini's late challenge caught a S.C.PAULISTA's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavio Martini helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Carloforte f.c. getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Flavio Martini hit a great ball. In the 17th match minute, Carloforte f.c. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ercole Marra to maneuver through the defense. In the 19th minute Fernando Prado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alex Federici saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fernando Prado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Federici having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, Amedeo Orioli took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Celso Luz to make any attempt to save it. Ercole Marra who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 26thth minute tested the skills of Celso Luz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Celso Luz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Amedeo Orioli's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Ercole Marra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Luz having to interfere. Celso Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amedeo Orioli, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Celso Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo Orioli in the 33rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Amedeo Orioli in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Celso Luz saved S.C.PAULISTA from getting behind. S.C.PAULISTA's Celso Luz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save S.C.PAULISTA from getting a goal against them. The supporters of S.C.PAULISTA booed when Carloforte f.c. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Federico Fabrizi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 40 minutes, Fernando Prado managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C.PAULISTA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernando Prado was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 42 minutes into the game, Carloforte f.c.'s Ercole Marra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Celso Luz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 46th minute, Amedeo Orioli fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Celso Luz, passed just outside the right post. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moisés Tepedino was the one to do the kick off. After a rather tough play, Carloforte f.c.'s Armando Minati got a free kick in the 50th minute. Ercole Marra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, S.C.PAULISTA's João Francisco Neves got a free kick in the 54th minute. Amedeo Orioli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Celso Luz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo Orioli in the 79th minute of the match. Celso Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ercole Marra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ercole Marra in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Celso Luz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Celso Luz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amedeo Orioli, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Ercole Galeone hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match. S.C.PAULISTA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
