Spectators: 7506 (Terracing: 5630, Seating: 1726, VIP seats: 150) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Manole Constantinescu took the kick off in the first half of the match. Manole Constantinescu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 3rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Jayson Burnett. River tu grato nombre's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 3rd minute, Abraham Bain hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jayson Burnett showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manole Constantinescu in the 7th minute of the match. 11 minutes into the match, Calvin Brand had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Olimpiu Ignea. FC Politehnica Timisoara's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Calvin Brand was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. After 13 minutes, Silviu Piţurcă mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Politehnica Timisoara and the River tu grato nombre players grew even worse after the yellow card. Silviu Piţurcă kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. Manole Constantinescu kicked well hit freekick during the 14th minute of the match. When Benjamin Norton came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the River tu grato nombre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Norton couldn't finish the play. River tu grato nombre's Jayson Burnett played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Nenciu in the 17th minute of play. Jayson Burnett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nicu Isăilă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Manole Constantinescu kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. With a little luck, FC Politehnica Timisoara's Olimpiu Ignea got control of the ball when Elvis Waller tried to sneak it across the goal line. Jayson Burnett made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicu Isăilă in the 28th minute of play. A collision led to FC Politehnica Timisoara getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Silviu Piţurcă hit a great ball. FC Politehnica Timisoara's Olimpiu Ignea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benjamin Norton in the 31st minute of play. Calvin Brand received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Olimpiu Ignea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Marius Robu fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Politehnica Timisoara's protests and gave Marius Robu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of River tu grato nombre booed when FC Politehnica Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Robu didn't get a good kick on the ball. 37 minutes into the match, River tu grato nombre's Calvin Brand broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Silviu Piţurcă hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elvis Waller made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Aurel Nenciu kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Jayson Burnett. That made the score 1-1 in the 51 minute of play. In the 56th match minute, River tu grato nombre was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Randall to maneuver through the defense. 57 minutes into the match, River tu grato nombre's goal looked a bit too open when Pompiliu Pantiș came free, but Jayson Burnett reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurel Nenciu hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manole Constantinescu in the 63rd minute of play forced River tu grato nombre's goalkeeper Jayson Burnett to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aurel Nenciu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Jayson Burnett made a huge save. FC Politehnica Timisoara's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Manole Constantinescu in the 68th minute. In the 74th minute, Stacey Eason hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jayson Burnett came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Politehnica Timisoara's Nicu Isăilă. But to his dismay, Nicu Isăilă quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. 82 minutes into the game, Marius Harhoiu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Politehnica Timisoara's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River tu grato nombre the free kick. After a defensive mix-up in River tu grato nombre's zone, Aurel Nenciu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jayson Burnett came out of the goal and Aurel Nenciu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 95th minute Benjamin Norton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Olimpiu Ignea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
