Vassilis Banasidis's late challenge caught a Carloforte f.c.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. When ΠΑΟΚ FC's Petros Giannakis in the 41st minute got a chance for a shot 41st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Petros Giannakis made a kick off. Federico Fabrizi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Makis Tselementes having to interfere. With his leg Alex Federici managed to avoid a goal in the 55thth minute, when ΠΑΟΚ FC's Petros Giannakis fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alex Federici prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Petros Giannakis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Petros Giannakis who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 69thth minute tested the skills of Alex Federici when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Petros Giannakis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 70thth minute, Alex Federici skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 72 minutes into the match, Amedeo Orioli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Makis Tselementes. ΠΑΟΚ FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amedeo Orioli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. Carloforte f.c.'s Alex Federici played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petros Giannakis in the 76th minute of play. Makis Tselementes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amedeo Orioli in the 80th minute of play.
