Jayson Burnett took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambrosio Felipo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 15th minute Paulo Milio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jayson Burnett saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 16 minutes into the match, River tu grato nombre's Kraig Rasmussen sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dionisio Cordaro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Calvin Brand in the 21st minute of play forced CAI NEUQUEN's goalkeeper Dionisio Cordaro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st minute, Kraig Rasmussen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. CAI NEUQUEN's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 30th minute, Bonifacio Edur got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo Milio struck a weak shot in the 48th minute. Jayson Burnett didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for CAI NEUQUEN. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

In the 53rd minute of the game, Gavino Urtun landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Calvin Brand kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. 58 minutes into the match, CAI NEUQUEN's goalkeeper Dionisio Cordaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Calvin Brand. In the 61st minute the ball was on its way in behind CAI NEUQUEN's goalkeeper Dionisio Cordaro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jeff Randall during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card.
