The supporters of Salud y República booed when La vecchia signora was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Herman Arvidsson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lars Lundström hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Agamenón Ruiz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Claes Jönsson took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Adulfo Teresa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Agamenón Ruiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Salud y República's Alvino Galnares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gunnar Nordahl in the 26th minute of play. 30 minutes into the match, Salud y República's goalkeeper Alvino Galnares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gunnar Nordahl. Gunnar Nordahl could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Alvino Galnares made a huge save. Gunnar Nordahl in the 33rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Alvino Galnares, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the 34th match minute, Salud y República was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osoro Raya to maneuver through the defense. Alvino Galnares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gunnar Nordahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Salud y República's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gunnar Nordahl was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

After 53 played minutes Agamenón Ruiz rounded La vecchia signora's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 2-1. Agamenón Ruiz kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the La vecchia signora players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
