The supporters of Rönnöfors FF booed when Esmeralda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristian Rufo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateo Jakue didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ture Stenman went, in the 23rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Mateo Jakue was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Per-Erik Ekman showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-1 in the 37 minute of play. After having played for 42 minutes, Krister Flinck managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rönnöfors FF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Krister Flinck was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mateo Jakue showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Per-Erik Ekman, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Rönnöfors FF's Frank Högström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ceferino Restu in the 47th minute of play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Per-Erik Ekman in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mateo Jakue prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rönnöfors FF's Krister Flinck got a good chance for a goal in the 56th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Aurelio Jacindo fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Esmeralda AFC's protests and gave Aurelio Jacindo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 59th minute, Aurelio Jacindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Rönnöfors FF's Jan Bogren got a free kick in the 69th minute. Frank Högström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ceferino Restu in the 72nd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Esmeralda AFC's zone, Per-Erik Ekman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mateo Jakue came out of the goal and Per-Erik Ekman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 77 minutes into the match, Esmeralda AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Per-Erik Ekman came free, but Mateo Jakue reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ceferino Restu's late challenge caught a Rönnöfors FF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ceferino Restu helped the player get up and apologised. Ceferino Restu hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Mateo Jakue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Per-Erik Ekman in the 81st minute of the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Rönnöfors FF had played much better football throughout.
