Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 149) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ernesto Venceslao started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Tales Vidal got a free kick in the 5th minute. When Hortêncio Melo fell near the penalty area in the 8th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's protests and gave Hortêncio Melo a yellow card for diving instead. After 8 played minutes Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa got a freekick which was hit by Hortêncio Melo. After a rather tough play, Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Valério Domingues got a free kick in the 11th minute. Samuel Ihazintu hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernesto Venceslao in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Carlinhos Pombal saved Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ernesto Venceslao in the 19th minute of play forced Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's goalkeeper Carlinhos Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the game, Ismael Andrade was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Errecaborda AFC the free kick. A collision led to Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ismael Andrade hit a great ball. Javier Peter took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 22nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carlinhos Pombal. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 30 minutes into the match, Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's goal looked a bit too open when Ernesto Venceslao came free, but Carlinhos Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 31 minutes into the game, Kléberson Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Errecaborda AFC the free kick. After 31 played minutes Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson Neves. Carlinhos Pombal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ernesto Venceslao in the 32nd minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's goal looked a bit too open when Luisito Innocenzio came free, but Carlinhos Pombal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 39th play minutes Ernesto Venceslao shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Carlinhos Pombal and just under the crossbar into goal. If Samuel Ihazintu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Ernesto Venceslao's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlinhos Pombal was relentless in the 46th minute of the game. After having played for 47 minutes, Tales Vidal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tales Vidal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Ernesto Venceslao received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Carlinhos Pombal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After having played for 56 minutes, Ernesto Venceslao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Errecaborda AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernesto Venceslao was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ernesto Venceslao in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Carlinhos Pombal prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Jonatan Ursino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Errecaborda AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jonatan Ursino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carlinhos Pombal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 62nd minute Ernesto Venceslao shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carlinhos Pombal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 65 minutes, Guillermo Tabb mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Errecaborda AFC and the Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Errecaborda AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Guillermo Tabb to maneuver through the defense. Ernesto Venceslao recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Ernesto Venceslao's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Carlinhos Pombal was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. 82 minutes into the match, Errecaborda AFC's Ernesto Venceslao sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlinhos Pombal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 88thth minute of the game Ernesto Venceslao who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cospe-Fogo-Pelasventa's Carlinhos Pombal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ernesto Venceslao took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlinhos Pombal. Carlinhos Pombal dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3.
