The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Esmeralda AFC's Nicasio Lorenz got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 4 minutes into the match, Shaolin soccer's Zbigniew Czerner broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After 5 minutes of play, Esmeralda AFC's Aurelio Jacindo made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Emil Cetnar was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zbigniew Czerner's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mateo Jakue firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 17th minute Ceferino Restu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emil Cetnar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Zbigniew Czerner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mateo Jakue read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. With a little luck, Esmeralda AFC's Mateo Jakue got control of the ball when Wit Kajder tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to Esmeralda AFC getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Aquilino Mon hit a great ball. After 22 played minutes, Shaolin soccer's Zbigniew Czerner shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mateo Jakue came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Shaolin soccer reached it. Mateo Jakue made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Iwan Czapski in the 23rd minute of play. Emil Cetnar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ceferino Restu in the 25th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Shaolin soccer's Iwan Czapski dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. Ceferino Restu struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Emil Cetnar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Esmeralda AFC. Olgierd Pietrasz's late challenge caught a Esmeralda AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olgierd Pietrasz helped the player get up and apologised. After 34 played minutes Shaolin soccer got a freekick which was hit by Olgierd Pietrasz. After a defensive mix-up in Shaolin soccer's zone, Aurelio Jacindo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emil Cetnar came out of the goal and Aurelio Jacindo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mateo Jakue didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Zbigniew Czerner went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Iwan Czapski did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 3-1 to the left of a surprised Mateo Jakue 42 minutes into the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zbigniew Czerner stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Shaolin soccer's Zbigniew Czerner sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mateo Jakue narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Shaolin soccer's Szymon Faron got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Nicasio Lorenz during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 62nd minute, Nicasio Lorenz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Esmeralda AFC's Severiano Clementi got a free kick in the 63rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbigniew Czerner in the 69th minute of play forced Esmeralda AFC's goalkeeper Mateo Jakue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iwan Czapski in the 70th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mateo Jakue saved Esmeralda AFC from getting behind. Mateo Jakue showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zbigniew Czerner in the 74th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zbigniew Czerner in the 77th minute of play forced Esmeralda AFC's goalkeeper Mateo Jakue to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mateo Jakue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iwan Czapski, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Shaolin soccer's Iwan Czapski in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The supporters of Shaolin soccer booed when Esmeralda AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ceferino Restu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mateo Jakue took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zbigniew Czerner, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Shaolin soccer's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
