In the 16thth minute of the game Aírton Dionísio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Kléberson Berger fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s protests and gave Kléberson Berger a yellow card for diving instead. After 22 played minutes IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Kléberson Berger. Fabinho de Lara hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Fabinho de Lara kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. If Ronaldo Linares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 minutes of play, Poetass FC's Claudinho Saldanha made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carlos Alberto Souto was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s Ronaldo Linares got a free kick in the 36th minute. IsioSamuel Jrs F.C.'s Carlos Alberto Souto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olavo Carioca in the 37th minute of play. In the 44th minute, Samuel Gol hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Poetass FC's Rony Peixoto shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 45th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Carlos Alberto Souto but with some difficulty. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Claudinho Saldanha to strike the kick off in the second half. After some careless play in the Poetass FC defense, Ronaldo Linares kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cássio de Senna. The Poetass FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cássio de Senna should have stopped the shot. 58 minutes into the game, Ronaldo Linares recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Cássio de Senna. Ronaldo Linares showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-2. The supporters of IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. booed when Poetass FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dani Portillo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carlos Alberto Souto didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when Poetass FC's Claudinho Saldanha shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 4-2 in the ordered_time% minute. César Pereira hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Osvaldo Branco managed to get in a good position for a shot.
