After a defensive mix-up in Icoara Football Club's zone, Samuel Gol stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Caetano Monteiro came out of the goal and Samuel Gol tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Caetano Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ronaldo Linares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo Linares to make the kick off. If Kléberson Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. Renan Capixaba who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 94thth minute tested the skills of Caetano Monteiro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When the final whistle sounded IsioSamuel Jrs F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Icoara Football Club.
