Sandrinho Carvalho took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mateus de Senna. Mateus de Senna dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. The supporters of Poetass FC booed when Juventus EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hílton Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 11th minute of the match Sandrinho Carvalho sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Mateus de Senna skillfully saved the ball. In the 13th minute, Sandrinho Carvalho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mateus de Senna was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuri Alberto in the 21st minute of play forced Poetass FC's goalkeeper Cássio de Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 22 played minutes Poetass FC got a freekick which was hit by Sandrinho Carvalho. The supporters of Poetass FC booed when Juventus EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Narciso Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 25 minutes of play, Poetass FC's Olavo Carioca made it 0-4 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mateus de Senna was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Juventus EC defense, Dani Portillo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mateus de Senna. The Juventus EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mateus de Senna should have stopped the shot. Poetass FC's Dani Portillo got a good chance for a goal in the 33rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cássio de Senna was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Américo Fernandes showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 37 minute of play. In the 40th minute, Osvaldo Branco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Augusto Barreto was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 42 minutes into the match. Poetass FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Américo Fernandes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-5. After the first half Poetass FC were leading 2-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Olavo Carioca made a kick off. Olavo Carioca fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mateus de Senna having to interfere. In the 56th minute Enéas Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio de Senna took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Enéas Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mateus de Senna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dani Portillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Cássio de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artur França in the 67th minute of play. Artur França struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Cássio de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Juventus EC. After 72 played minutes Poetass FC got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Saldanha. In the 74th minute Yuri Alberto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Artur França charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Artur França the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Artur França hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. 81 minutes into the match, Dani Portillo dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mateus de Senna, 2-6. 88 minutes into the match, Olavo Carioca dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mateus de Senna, 2-7. Cássio de Senna didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Enéas Urbano went, in the 91st minute, to the upper right corner, 3-7 was the resulting score. After 95 played minutes Juventus EC got a freekick which was hit by Artur França. The Juventus EC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Poetass FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Poetass FC.
