Cássio de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hernani Massa in the 18th minute of play. Luís Guilherme Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Cássio de Senna tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sandrinho Carvalho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 23rd minute of the match, but Doni Meirelles made a huge save. 26 minutes into the game, Fred Coutinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Poetass FC the free kick. Fred Coutinho kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. When the match had gone on for 27 minutes, Olavo Carioca took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Doni Meirelles to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Dani Portillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Doni Meirelles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Olavo Carioca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Manfredo Reis in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cássio de Senna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Poetass FC's Claudinho Saldanha got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Olavo Carioca was the one to do the kick off. When Vítor Teles came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vítor Teles couldn't finish the play. Cássio de Senna made an important save on a dangerous shot by Hernani Massa in the 55th minute. The supporters of Poetass FC booed when ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Poetass FC's goalkeeper Cássio de Senna, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 69 minutes into the game, Narciso Freire was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poetass FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽ the free kick. A collision led to Poetass FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Narciso Freire hit a great ball. Hernani Massa struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Cássio de Senna didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ⚽ VILA REAL F.ᑕ. MOC ⚽. After a rather tough play, Poetass FC's Claudinho Saldanha got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Doni Meirelles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olavo Carioca in the 75th minute of the match. Manfredo Reis's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 80thth minute, Cássio de Senna skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 84th minute, Vítor Teles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 86 minutes into the game, Poetass FC's Olavo Carioca nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Doni Meirelles made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
