In the 4th minute Egídio Lucas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cássio de Senna saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cássio de Senna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabrício Rosa in the 6th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Genílson de Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Icoara Football Club's supporters rose to their feet, but Genílson de Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cássio de Senna breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Genílson de Queirós fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cássio de Senna having to interfere. Caetano Monteiro came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Poetass FC's Dani Portillo. But to his dismay, Dani Portillo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. With a little luck, Icoara Football Club's Caetano Monteiro got control of the ball when Zé Augusto Barreto tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dani Portillo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Caetano Monteiro came out and tried to block the shot, but Dani Portillo slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 29th minute. Caetano Monteiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudinho Saldanha in the 33rd minute. Caetano Monteiro made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Claudinho Saldanha sent off a good shot on target. In the 36th match minute, Icoara Football Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thiago Zonta to maneuver through the defense. Dário Pernambucano lost his temper 43 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Valdo Lima shot the penalty kick right outside the post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Poetass FC's Cássio de Senna proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Poetass FC from getting a goal against them. Zé Augusto Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caetano Monteiro having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 80th minute by Egídio Lucas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. 82 minutes into the match, Poetass FC's Zé Augusto Barreto sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Caetano Monteiro narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Cássio de Senna made a fantastic save in the 85th minute, when Egídio Lucas sent off a good shot on target. Icoara Football Club's Genílson de Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute, Fabrício Rosa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 93 minutes into the game, Victor Vidal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Poetass FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Icoara Football Club the free kick. After 93 played minutes Poetass FC got a freekick which was hit by Victor Vidal. Cássio de Senna acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 94th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Valdo Lima.
