The referee ignored Militros F.C.'s protests and gave Kauã Zanussi a yellow card for diving instead. Sandro Tasso had in the 9thth minute some difficulties stopping Epifanio Kelemen's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sandro Tasso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adolfo Ramond, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. When Augusto Gaitan came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Villa Mitre fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Augusto Gaitan couldn't finish the play. Sandro Tasso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adolfo Ramond in the 80th minute of the match. Villa Mitre's Americo Jerardo suffered a sore thigh after 80 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Diguinho da Rocha during the 80th minute.
