The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee felt a red card was in order, 8 minutes into the game, when Daniel Marques put in a rough tackle. After a long run with the ball, Thue Sporner did a trick in the 10th minute in front of Stone City's goalkeeper, who threw himself to the side. After that it was simple to shoot 1-1. An impressive performance by FC Nordsjælland's Thue Sporner! Stone City's Aldo Unax got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baldomero Arias made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Eberhardt Sarbak sent off a good shot on target. FC Nordsjælland were awarded a corner in the 23th minute after Stone City's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ibrahim Osman took the corner. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Aldo Unax managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stone City's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Unax was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hans Baunbæk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, FC Nordsjælland's Krestoffer Ehmsen got a free kick in the 30th minute. In the 31st minute of the match Epifanio Ciano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hans Baunbæk skillfully saved the ball. Baldomero Arias was out of position in the 37 minute of play, and Ibrahim Osman capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ibrahim Osman really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Eberhardt Sarbak kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After 42 played minutes, Stone City's Epifanio Ciano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Hans Baunbæk came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Stone City reached it. 45 minutes into the match, Stone City's goalkeeper Baldomero Arias had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Frede Holts. After a rather tough play, Stone City's Kami Le got a free kick in the 46th minute. FC Nordsjælland's Ibrahim Osman couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 47th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Stone City. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Frede Holts made the kick off in the second half. Baldomero Arias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ibrahim Osman in the 51st minute of the match. After 56 minutes of play, FC Nordsjælland's Ibrahim Osman made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baldomero Arias was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in FC Nordsjælland's zone, Jeronimo Teofilio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hans Baunbæk came out of the goal and Jeronimo Teofilio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 63 minutes of play, FC Nordsjælland's Ibrahim Osman made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Baldomero Arias was left in no man's land by his defense there! Stone City's Baldomero Arias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Krestoffer Ehmsen in the 66th minute of play. Baldomero Arias showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ibrahim Osman, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. When Jeronimo Teofilio came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Stone City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jeronimo Teofilio couldn't finish the play. After 75 played minutes Stone City got a freekick which was hit by Kami Le. In the 76th minute, Kresten Barnow left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Nordsjælland fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-1. The supporters of Stone City booed when FC Nordsjælland was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Thue Sporner didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ramiro Duarte took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 90th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hans Baunbæk. FC Nordsjælland's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. 92 minutes into the match, Eberhardt Sarbak notched a goal, 8-1, to the right of Stone City's Baldomero Arias. Baldomero Arias was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When the referee ended the match the FC Nordsjælland players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
