In the 3rd minute, Hamed Bouazizi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Melquiades Silban took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chedli Habib Benfrej, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 21 minutes into the match, Mariano Eliu had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Karim Ayari. Symba's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mariano Eliu was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. Melquiades Silban came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Symba's Chedli Habib Benfrej. But to his dismay, Chedli Habib Benfrej quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. In the 32nd minute Chedli Habib Benfrej shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Melquiades Silban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karim Ayari didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albano Austin went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. 39 minutes into the game, Symba's Chaouki Loussayef nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Melquiades Silban made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-2. After 42 played minutes Symba got a freekick which was hit by Chaouki Loussayef. After 44 minutes of play, Symba's Chaouki Loussayef made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Melquiades Silban was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chedli Habib Benfrej hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match.

In the 54th minute of the match, Chedli Habib Benfrej tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Melquiades Silban saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Segundo Roland during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Metapalo FC were furious when Carolo Colon was red carded, 58 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Metapalo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 58th minute. Penalty! In the 64th minute Joel Nuxila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Karim Ayari saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joel Nuxila took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Karim Ayari. Karim Ayari dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-4. Mariano Eliu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Karim Ayari tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Nuxila in the 75th minute of play forced Symba's goalkeeper Karim Ayari to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Chedli Habib Benfrej kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Melquiades Silban. That made the score 3-5 in the 77 minute of play. After 85 minutes, Mariano Eliu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Metapalo FC and the Symba players grew even worse after the yellow card. Metapalo FC's Melquiades Silban played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chedli Habib Benfrej in the 87th minute of play. After some careless play in the Symba defense, Mariano Eliu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Karim Ayari. The Symba fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Karim Ayari should have stopped the shot. Chaouki Loussayef's late challenge caught a Metapalo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chaouki Loussayef helped the player get up and apologised. After 96 played minutes Symba got a freekick which was hit by Chaouki Loussayef. The Metapalo FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Symba's performance. The match ended with a win for Symba.
