The audience thought a goal was coming when Falcão de Almeida got free with Hans Baunbæk in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tales Valladares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kresten Barnow, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
