In the 2nd minute, Jean Faria got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. GeRaÇãO-83's Diguinho Mineiro got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 25th minute, Claudinei França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Valdomiro Nunes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Falcão de Almeida, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Reginaldo Prado during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 37 played minutes New England Patriots got a freekick which was hit by Reginaldo Prado. In the 38th minute, Falcão de Almeida got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, GeRaÇãO-83's Emanuel Schmidt got a free kick in the 42nd minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Falcão de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GeRaÇãO-83's supporters crossed their fingers, but Falcão de Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Valdomiro Nunes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Falcão de Almeida in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jean Faria made a kick off. Valdomiro Nunes was a little too slow when Falcão de Almeida got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 54th minute. The score was now 0-1. In the 57th match minute, GeRaÇãO-83 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natanael Zanette to maneuver through the defense. 70 minutes into the match, New England Patriots's goal looked a bit too open when Falcão de Almeida came free, but Valdomiro Nunes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Diguinho Mineiro's late challenge caught a New England Patriots's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Diguinho Mineiro helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, GeRaÇãO-83's Diguinho Mineiro got a free kick in the 83rd minute. New England Patriots's defense didn't have a chance, in the 87th minute, when Falcão de Almeida scored to the left of an out of position Valdomiro Nunes, making the score, 0-4. In the 91st match minute, GeRaÇãO-83 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emanuel Schmidt to maneuver through the defense. New England Patriots's Amadeu Vasconcelos managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Leandro Costa in the 92 minute of the game. 94 minutes into the match, GeRaÇãO-83's goal looked a bit too open when Jean Faria came free, but Tales Valladares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The New England Patriots manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing GeRaÇãO-83 to win.
