After 2 played minutes New England Patriots got a freekick which was hit by Claudinho Aparecido. Through an outstanding action, after 3 minutes, Valdomiro Nunes successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Valdomiro Nunes made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Mariano Eliu sent off a good shot on target. Mariano Eliu received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valdomiro Nunes came out and tried to block the shot, but Mariano Eliu slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 12th minute. Metapalo FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Mariano Eliu in the 23rd minute. Mariano Eliu made a great header on Metapalo FC's corner, it was just that New England Patriots's Valdomiro Nunes managed to reach the ball for a save. Segundo Roland did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 2-0 to the left of a surprised Valdomiro Nunes 23 minutes into the match. The supporters of Metapalo FC booed when New England Patriots was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gustavo Cordeiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Claudinho Aparecido came up free with the goalie in the 32nd minute, the New England Patriots fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudinho Aparecido couldn't finish the play. Duda Pitta hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. In the 47th match minute, Metapalo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Nuxila to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jean Faria was the one to do the kick off. Segundo Roland struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Valdomiro Nunes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Metapalo FC. In the 55th minute, Mariano Eliu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Joel Nuxila in the 58th minute of play forced New England Patriots's goalkeeper Valdomiro Nunes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 61st minute, New England Patriots's Gustavo Cordeiro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. After a rather tough play, Metapalo FC's Godofredo Iago got a free kick in the 65th minute. After 66 played minutes New England Patriots got a freekick which was hit by Gustavo Cordeiro. Mariano Eliu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valdomiro Nunes having to interfere. Melquiades Silban showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jean Faria in the 75th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, Albano Austin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdomiro Nunes. New England Patriots's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albano Austin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. If Gustavo Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the New England Patriots defense, Mariano Eliu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valdomiro Nunes. The New England Patriots fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valdomiro Nunes should have stopped the shot. Metapalo FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
